Dave Jackson, Director
David Jackson sailed and raced as a teenager, but gave it up for a music career. Thirty years later, he got back to sailing via windsurfing, and now sails with his wife Pat on their 27 ft. Pacific Seacraft sloop. David is a 7th grade language arts teacher during the school year. He holds level 1 and keelboat certifications from US Sailing.

Willie Jungles, Instructor
Willie Jungels is a 19-year-old sophomore from Northfield, NJ. This fall Willie will begin his sophomore year at Penn State University as he works towards a degree in sports broadcasting. Willie has been around sailing his entire life, as his father Brad has been an avid sailor since he was born. Willie has raced International 110s, Lightnings, J24s, Melges 24s and other boats with his father over his sailing career. Additionally, Willie also started sailing optimists when he was 8 and later on raced Lasers. Willie started volunteering at the Sailing Foundation as a 16 year old and has formally worked there since he was 17. Willie is a Level 1 sailing instructor, a Level 2 Coach, Certified CPR and First Aid and a NJ Boating License. Willie loves the water and is eager to teach others the great sport of sailing as it something that you can use for the rest of your life.

MacKenzie McGuckin, Instructor
MacKenzie is a seventeen year old senior at Ocean City High School. She is looking into attending the US Coast Guard Academy or University of Michigan to study Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. MacKenzie began sailing in a car seat as an infant with her parents on a J-24 in Friday Night Bay Races at the Ocean City Yacht Club (OCYC). Having the privilege to live and be raised around the water, it was only a matter of time before she discovered her passion and dedication for the art of sailing. MacKenzie started to explore the wonders of wind and the sea on her own at 8 years old, in an Optimist at the OCYC. Currently she practices with a coach or races in regattas practically every weekend between the months of March and November on Lasers, Lightnings, Melges 24s, Vipers, Interclubs, Club 420s, J-24s, Windsurfers and more. MacKenzie started to volunteer at the OCSF at age fifteen, and began formally instructing at sixteen, making this upcoming season her second year at the Foundation. She has her NJ Boaters License, is certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, US Sailing Level 1 Sailboat Instructor and Level 2 Sailboat Coach, and is certified as a Red Cross Lifeguard. Her admiration and fondness for the wind, water, and children makes her an ideal sailing instructor. MacKenzie hopes to spread the sport of sailing to everyone she possibly can. She engulfs every opportunity that she has in order to help sailors new and old to get the most from their sailing experience. MacKenzie hopes to teach many sailors this summer, and cannot wait to meet all the young avid sailors that come her way!
